Under the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955, Persons of Indian Origin is NOT allowed DUAL Citizenship. If a person has ever held an Indian Passport and has obtained the Passport of another country, they will be required to surrender their Indian Passport immediately after gaining another Country’s nationality.

Who is eligible for OCI Card:

• US citizen who once held Indian passport in the past.

• who is a child or a grandchild of who held or still hold Indian citizenship.

• Spouse of who is or was a citizen of India or spouse of an OCI Cardholder whose marriage has been registered and subsisted for no less than 2 years.

All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid Visa, OCI, or any other travel documents. Our office will assist you in applying for regular tourist visa or E-visa.

Adjustment of status is the process that you can use to apply for lawful permanent resident status (also known as applying for a Green Card) when you are already present in the United States. This means that you may get a Green Card without having to return to your home country to complete visa processing.

Certain noncitizens who are in the United States may file application for Employment Authorization, to request work permit. Other noncitizens whose immigration status authorizes them to work in the United States without restrictions may also apply for work permit that shows such authorization. Green card holders are free to travel abroad, but if you spend more than a year at a time outside the United States you could be found to have abandoned your green card status. If you are first time US passport applicants or if your soon-to-be-expired US passport was issued at the age of 16 or younger, you are required to go to passport acceptance facility. However, we can assist in preparing your application, scheduling an appointment, and provide photos.
